Brophy advanced to the AIA 6A State Championships as the No. 11 seed. The Broncos opened up the postseason against No. 6 Chandler (L, 11-1), defeated No. 14 Mountain View, Mesa (W, 5-3), and were eliminated by No. 2 Alhambra (L, 8-2).
Brophy finished second overall in the Premier Region with a 6-2 record to post a 9-9 regular season mark.
Pitcher JD DeCremer ‘23 and catcher Henry Chabot ‘22 both earned All-Premier Region first team honors.
Anthony Diaz ‘22, Stone Williamson ‘22 were all-region second-team selections, while Trey Markham and Willie Cornejo-Farmer were honorable mention.
Nico Franz ‘22 and Williamson represented Brophy in the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association Academic (AZBCA) All-Star game, while Chabot and Diaz were chosen for the AZBCA Senior All-Star game.
Three players will continue their careers at the collegiate level, including Henry Chabot at Chapman University, Kellen Newsome at Northwest Nazarene University and Luke Whitlow at Scottsdale Community College.
