Seniors Receive Dorrance Scholarships to Study at a State University

Seniors Carlos Moreno, Luis Reyes and Mark Trusiak have received 2021 Dorrance Scholarships. The prestigious awards go to highly motivated Arizona students who will be the first in their families to attend college. The scholarship covers costs at one of the three state universities and is worth more than $100,000 over four years. Carlos, Luis and Mark will attend Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University.

The Dorrance Merit Scholarship was established in 1999 by Jacquie and Bennett Dorrance whose support of the program now exceeds $50 million. Scholarships go to first-generation college students who have demonstrated hard work and academic achievement. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in college and engage in community service.
