Brophy Swim Misses State Due to Covid, Ending 32-Year Winning Streak

The Brophy Swim and Dive program is the most successful high school athletic program in Arizona and possibly the country with 32 consecutive state titles through 2019, and 42 in program history. In 2020, however, the winning steak came to an end with the Broncos unable to compete due to Covid. It was a tough break — especially for the seniors — but Brophy's pandemic response has called for the entire community to sacrifice if necessary for the greater good, and the swim team priorities reflected that.
