OFJ Staffer Will Rutt '08 Honored With ISN Emerging Leader Award

Will Rutt, a 2008 Brophy graduate and a 2012 graduate of Creighton University, was honored along with Elena Habersky with the Moira Erin O'Donnell Emerging Leaders for Justice Award. The award is given by the Ignatian Solidarity Network to young adults who have graduated from a U.S. Jesuit college or university and who have assumed significant social justice leadership roles in their communities. He also holds a master's degree in educational leadership from San Francisco University.

Will works in Brophy's Office of Faith and Justice as the director of Ignatian service and advocacy. He has worked closely with students in creating platforms that allow the voices of a diverse student body to be heard and understood. Additionally, his passion for seeking justice for migrants and the marginalized resulted in a well-organized and effective advocacy effort for DACA recipients called the DreamOn Campaign, as well as a push for equal educational access for Dreamers.

Congratulations to Will and Elena! Read more here.
