BroncoBots Win State Robotics Competition
Brophy's robotics team, the Broncobots, won the FIRST®* Robotics Competition (FRC) state championship at ASU on Oct. 22, competing in a field of 25 teams. The FRC state championship is sponsored by the Steve Sanghi Family Foundation in conjunction with the ASU Fulton School of Engineering and Access ASU, and coordinated by AZFirst.
The challenge, announced earlier in the year, is presented by The Boeing Company and is called RAPID REACT. It is explained fully in this video. Teams must design a 120-pound robot specific to this challenge.
