Ryan Saltonstall has been named a varsity assistant baseball coach and will work with the outfielders and assist Coach Nunez with the pitchers, Athletic Director and Head Coach Josh Garica announced. He played at the University of Central Florida (2019-21) after playing for two seasons at South Mountain JC. He also played with the Savannah Bananas.
He was recruited and played for Brophy Head Coach Josh Garcia at South Mountain, posting a 2.41 ERA and 8-2 record while earning second-team all-conference honors in 2018. He was a four-year letter winner for Sunnyslope, leading the Vikings to a state runner-up as a freshman and three-time All-District and first-team All-Section honoree. He recorded a 2.05 ERA in 68 1/3 innings as a senior.
