Football Wins on Walk-Off Field Goal at Mountain View 

Senior Jack Carson hit the game-winning field goal as time expired, leading the Broncos to a 31-28 win over Mountain View. Senior Ryder Noche had a big run for a score to start the game; freshman Karter Chamblin had two touchdowns, and senior Donovan McNabb Jr. added the final score with a 15-yard reception. Junior Noah Stewart finished with three touchdown passes and led the final drive for the winning field goal. 

Noche finished with 133 yards on 12 rushes, highlighted by his 68-yard touchdown run. He had seven tackles and an interception and totaled 139 yards on punt and kickoff returns. 

The Broncos built a 28-12 lead at the half behind Noche’s run and Stewart’s three touchdowns. The Toros fought back in the second half, tying the game on a two-point conversion with 4:00 left. But Brophy rallied downfield to the one-yard line, setting up Carson’s 18-yard field goal as time expired. 

Max Alcoverde led the team with 10 tackles, while John Michael had nine with two tackles for loss and Lincoln Ray recorded eight stops, including a sack. Eli Price added 69 rushing yards, and Stewart was 13-for-20 for 160 yards to seven different receivers. Chamblin finished with 68 yards and his first two career touchdowns. 

Brophy (3-1) won for the third straight game and posted its second road victory of the season. They host Chandler on Thursday at Central High School at 7 p.m.
