Fashion Show Blends Style, Tradition and Philanthropy
Few annual events in the Valley bring together fashion, philanthropy, and community quite like the Brophy Fashion Show. Now in its 42nd year, the event has become a fixture on Phoenix’s nonprofit calendar, drawing parents, students, volunteers, retailers, sponsors, and civic-minded supporters for an afternoon defined by purpose and celebration.
Held March 27 at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn, this year’s Brophy Fashion Show, Bound in Brotherhood, welcomed more than 1,150 attendees and featured 261 seniors from Brophy College Preparatory, along with participation from 22 retail partners and the support of local and national businesses. The scale of the event reflects a community deeply invested in the school and its students. Proceeds benefit the Brophy Fund, which supports the programs, people, and places that allow every student to flourish.
“The Fashion Show captures the very best of Brophy,” said Susan McGalla, Vice President of Advancement and Strategic Communications. “It is a moment where community, generosity, and tradition come together to celebrate our seniors while ensuring future generations of students have access to the same life-changing experience.”
The afternoon unfolded with a sense of occasion that has come to define the Brophy Fashion Show. A social hour and shopping experience gave way to a formal luncheon, a runway presentation by Neiman Marcus, and the much-anticipated senior show, where members of the Class of 2026 took the stage in looks styled by retail partners from across the Valley. The production combined professional polish with unmistakable Brophy spirit.
“For me, seeing the Fashion Show come to life was deeply rewarding,” said co-chair Andrea Tumialán. “After a year of planning, every detail came together in a clear and powerful way. We watched our seniors walk a professional runway in looks styled by local retailers, and each moment reflected their confidence and the strength of this class.”
That sense of meaning extends well beyond the runway. Staffed by parent volunteers and strengthened by enduring partnerships with retailers and sponsors, the Fashion Show reflects a collective effort that spans generations of Brophy families and supporters.
“Saying yes to this role came naturally,” said co-chair Ashley Staples. “We have seen the impact of this community on our families. We wanted to give back in a meaningful way.”
For seniors and their families, the event also serves as a milestone. It offers a moment to reflect, to celebrate, and to mark the beginning of graduation season together.
“Our favorite part of the event was seeing our senior class and their families share a once-in-a-lifetime experience together,” Staples said. “It marked the beginning of graduation season in a meaningful way.”
As one of the Valley’s premier nonprofit events, the Brophy Fashion Show continues to stand apart for both its presentation and its purpose, bringing a community together in support of students and the opportunities that shape their future.
