Financial Assistance

Brophy offers need-based financial assistance that includes one or more of the Grant Programs listed below.

Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA)

Brophy accepts Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funds as a tuition payment option. Administered by the Arizona Department of Education, the ESA program allows eligible families to apply state education funds toward qualified educational expenses, including tuition at Brophy.

NEED-BASED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Brophy offers need-based financial assistance to qualifying families through its Grant-In-Aid Program, which provides monetary awards applied directly to tuition. Mac Book Assistance may also be available for incoming and transfer students who qualify for Grant-In-Aid assistance.

Financial need is verified through FACTS Tuition Management, which helps assess a family's ability to pay tuition by collecting and analyzing financial information based on a family's total financial picture. All financial assistance applications are confidential and reviewed only by the Brophy Financial Aid Committee.

Deadline to apply for financial assistance is April 15.

CRITICAL FUNDING RULE: ESA VS. STO
Per Arizona state law, a student cannot concurrently participate in both the ESA program and receive School Tuition Organization (STO) scholarships (such as the Brophy Community Foundation or other tax-credit programs) during the same academic year.

Families must choose the single funding path that best suits their financial needs:

  • ESA Path: You contract directly with the state. Funding is managed through ClassWallet, and you are responsible for submitted expense reports.
  • STO Path: You apply for traditional, need-based tax-credit scholarships through STO organizations.
USING YOUR ESA FUNDS AT BROPHY

We process ESA funding via the state's online management portal, ClassWallet. Parents have two streamlined options to apply these funds toward their Brophy tuition balance:

  1. Direct Pay to Brophy: You can log into your ClassWallet portal and authorize a direct payment to Brophy College Preparatory to be applied directly to your tuition invoice. Detailed, step-by-step documentation on how to extract your required invoice from FACTS and successfully upload it to ClassWallet can be found in our Instructions for Submitting Direct Pay.
  2. Family Reimbursement: If you pay your tuition out-of-pocket through your FACTS tuition management account. Documentation on how you can upload your Brophy invoice and payment receipt to ClassWallet can be found in our Instructions for Requesting Reimbursement.
