Case Vanden Bosch Named AIA 6A Male Scholar Athlete of the Year

Brophy College Preparatory senior quarterback Case Vanden Bosch was named the AIA 6A Conference Male Scholar Athlete of the Year, adding another significant honor to a senior year defined by excellence in competition, in the classroom and across the Brophy community.

Vanden Bosch was recognized at the AIA Night of Champions event on Sunday, May 17, at The Vista Center for the Arts in Surprise. He was one of three finalists for the Scholar Athlete of the Year award, which annually honors Arizona high school students whose achievements reflect the values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

The AIA recognition follows another major honor for Vanden Bosch, who was named the 2026 National Football Foundation Arizona Scholar Athlete of the Year earlier this spring. He also earned a place on the NFF Team of Distinction, a national recognition for high school football scholar-athletes.

On the field, Vanden Bosch served as Brophy’s team captain and was named Central Region Player of the Year. A two-year starter at quarterback, he helped lead the Broncos to the Open Division playoffs this season and the AIA 6A Conference semifinals in 2024. He leaves Brophy with his name throughout the program record book, including a school record 42 career touchdown passes.

Vanden Bosch also finished his Brophy career with 4,403 passing yards, 1,943 rushing yards and a school-record career completion percentage of 71.05. His rushing total made him the most productive quarterback runner in school history.

His impact extended well beyond football. Vanden Bosch maintained a 4.39 GPA while participating in Student Council, Hope Squad and the Big Brother program. He also competed in basketball and track and was part of Brophy’s 2025 AIA 6A Conference championship basketball team.

Vanden Bosch will continue his academic and athletic career at the United States Air Force Academy, where he will play Division I football for the Falcons in the fall.
