Swimming & Diving Wins Third Invitational Title

Nolan Guidry won the 50 freestyle with a personal best of 20.92 and placed second in the 100 free in 45.85 at ASU's Forktoberfest meet on Saturday. The Broncos won the meet with 443 points to claim their third invitational title this season.

Brophy swept both relays and were led by individual wins by Finn Conley in the 100 butterfly in 50.57 and Liam Ferguson in the 100 backstroke in 53.01. They recorded 12 top-three finishes. 

Some of the top performances: 

• Freshman Carter Dorethy's 200 Freestyle PR (7th place, 1:49.88)

• Sophomore Nolan Guidry's 50 Freestyle PR (1st place, 20.92!) and 100 Freestyle (2nd place, 45.85)

• Senior Levi Gomez and Freshman Lewis O'Coyne going head to head in the 500 Freestyle in lanes right next to each other to finish in a tie for 3rd place (4:48.34).

• The 4x50 Freestyle Relay (Brayden Harrison, Noah Heimer, Finn Conley, Nolan Guidry) put together another really fun swim and went a season best (1st place, 1:27.14)

• Finn Conley's PR 100 Fly (1st place, 50.57)

• Enrique Perez's PR 100 Back (6th place, 56.63)

• Divers Jonah Geist and Caleb Bell are currently ranked for state. Chase Gannon hit his state qualifying score and only needs to do it one more time to be ranked as well.
