Cross Country Has Strong Start at Season Opener

The Brophy cross country team opened the 2026 season at the NoPo Invitational. Spencer Nick was the top finisher for the Broncos in eighth (15:51), with teammate Colin St. Hilaire right behind in 10th (15:54). Overall, Brophy had four in the top 25, earning medals with Diego Alejos crossing 20th (16:43) and Patrick McLiaghlin in 25th (17:05).

Peter Vietor won the Boys Open race in 17:42, with the Broncos placing five in the top six of the race. Blake Suedekum was third overall. It was Pietor’s second career race win. 

Brophy will race at the Fountain Hills Invitational on Sept. 12.
