Alum Connor Oldani ‘24 Wins Gold Medal at Pan American Cup

Alum Connor Oldani ‘24 and the U.S. Men’s U23 National Team won the gold medal at the 2026 NORCECA Men’s U23 Pan American Cup with a 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-13, 25-17) victory over Costa Rica on Sunday evening in San Salvador, El Salvador. 

The team trained in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center during the last week of August. The team then met in Houston on September 18th and then headed to San Salvador on the 19th. The team went 4-0, defeating the Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago in pool play, then beating Mexico in the semi-finals, and finally beating Costa Rica in the Gold Medal Match.

Oldani, who plays at Brigham Young University, ended the event with 13 kills on 15 attempts, 2 aces, and 2 blocks in his first international event for USA Volleyball. He is only the second Brophy player to play for Team USA in international competition. Dan McDonnell '07 was the first.
