Basketball's Speed Joins 1000-point Club in Loss

Senior guard Braeden Speed scored a team-best 23 points and eclipsed the 1000-point milestone, but Brophy fell to Millennium 75-68 on Friday. Speed scored the 1000th point on his first basket of the second quarter.
He scored 13 of his 23 points in the quarter as the Broncos trailed 38-35 at the break. Millennium extended the lead to 10 points in the third quarter. Brophy cut the lead to a single possession but could not close the gap. 
Ryan Burbach scored 17 in the contest aided by five triples. Luke Wieskamp and Nick Sanford scored nine each in the game.
