Beginning in 2022-23, Brophy replaced the traditional work-study program with the Brophy Essential Assistance and Support Team (BEAST) program. BEAST will be open to any student who wishes to take advantage of an on-campus work opportunity in order to help pay school fees that run through the student's FACTS account.
The goals of the program include...
- Provide on-campus work opportunities to earn credits toward tuition, athletics, club fees and immersion trips.
- Offer real-world learning experiences to help develop life and career skills.
- Motivate students to serve the community in myriad ways.
Students will be able to sign up for jobs across almost all Brophy departments and offices: athletics, facilities, events, academic departments and more. Time worked will be tracked hourly, or in some circumstances, by project, with the credits going to each student’s FACTS account.
Students who receive financial aid will be able to sign up first, but the program is open to all students. Students will need to look for a job opening that works with their schedule, taking into consideration any flex periods they may have.
The program is collaboratively managed through the Business Office and the Office of Equity and Inclusion.
