Golf Wins Dual in Senior Match

It was the Senior match for Tyler Spielman and Henry Dall and the seniors continued to lead the team with some help from their freshman teammates. The Broncos posted a 146-152 win over Liberty with Red Mountain in third at 162. Spielman and freshman Asher Nelson tied for the low round for the Broncos at even-par 36. Dall was one stroke back at 37 with freshman Evan Tyree. Freshman Nathan Ash carded a 38. 
 
“Tyler and Henry are great friends and the friendship, with a kindred spirit of community and being together, has seeped its way into the dynamic of the team,” said Head Coach Jon SHores. “The players love being around them and their play speaks for itself.”
 
Spielman birdied two of his last three holes to erase a third-hole double bogey for his even-par round. He finished tied for third overall with teammate Asher Nelson, who birdied two of his first three holes to take the mid-round lead. He finished with two bogeys to card his 36.
 
Freshman Evan Tyree led the team with three birdies but posted four bogeys to record a 37.
 
Next: GOLF plays in the Dobson Classic on Wednesday and Thursday.
