The Brophy Counseling Model

Every freshman is assigned an advisor. Beginning sophomore year, each student is assigned a counselor who shepherds that student through his senior year, and is the first point of contact for the student's family.


Brophy Counselors support students with:

    Taking Ownership of the Process
    SAT/ACT Planning

    Second Semester


    Individual meetings with counselor
    Creation of college lists
    Individual testing plans
    Parent meetings
    College essay writing workshop

    • Become more deeply involved in extracurricular activities
      - What is your passion?
      - Form relationships with teachers

    • Start researching schools
      - Attend up to three admission representative visits at Brophy
      - Visit schools

    • Take the PSAT in October

    • Standardized tests
      - We recommend taking the SAT and/or ACT during second semester
