How are you evaluating your wrestling season?
“I have been doing pretty good. I have definitely made mistakes, especially in that one match. For the most part, I have been wrestling pretty well. I have not been in too many matches where I needed to be smart to wrestle. When I have to, I have been smart.”

What do you remember about your championship match last year?
“I wrestled a really smart opponent and was super defensive. I ended up losing. I fell for a move and I got a little desperate in the end. I was fire manned.”

What are you looking forward to about this year to achieve your goal of winning?
“I need to keep lifting and practicing. I am not going to learn any new moves. I need to remember when matches do eventually get tough and I am not pinning them right away, I can’t get desperate in a match and must keep wrestling smart.”

Do appreciate having your brothers on the team or are they a pain :)?
“They are a pain. It is nice because if I need to practice with somebody I can work with them Obviously, I am bigger than them but they are pretty good technique-wise. It is super helpful. It is cool having them there.”

What will you take away from your senior football season?
“Definitely disappointed playing through injuries. I messed up my ankles pretty good in the first game of the season. I rolled my ankle and the other one got messed up too.”

What are your college plans at this point?
“I plan on going to Arizona State and majoring in computer science. I am going to try out for wrestling at ASU. I think realistically I could be on the team. It is hard because I am either going 190 or heavyweight. That is a huge jump and a big cut for me. I am going to keep lifting and I want to be a bigger guy and be heavier and stronger.”
