Wrestling Falls at Hamilton 38-28

The Broncos got pins by David Sweetman, Jackson Sweetman and Rigoberto Herrera but fell at Hamilton 38-28 on Wednesday.

Senior David Sweetman improved to 38-1 on the season with a victory over Angelo Maldonado at 285 pounds, while sophomore Jackson Sweetman defeated Ryan Pantel at 175. He is now 35-11 on the season. Herrera defeated Carlos Chavez at 215.

Freshman Adam Angulo joined Woody Bayless and Sean Kennedy as winners by decision. Angulo won his 39th match at 138 pounds with a 4-2 decision over Anthony Garcia. Bayless defeated Jason De La Torre at 150 by the score of 15-3. Kennedy recorded a 4-3 decision over Mason Reece at 126.

Brophy hosts Chaparral for Senior Night on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m. in the Dutch Gymnasium.
