Two Wrestlers Win Titles at Liberty Classic

The Brophy College Preparatory wrestling team went 4-3 on Friday, posting wins over Betty Fairfax, Gilbert, Valley Vista and Highland and captains Ty Trickle (144) and David Sweetman (285) won individual titles Saturday night.
Sweetman went undefeated in Friday bouts winning five by pins and two forfeits. The pins were by a combined 45.3 seconds (5.3 seconds, 10 seconds, 6 seconds, 13 seconds, 11 seconds). He won his match Saturday night with a first-period pin over Haro-Torres from Centennial.
Ty Trickle won the title at 144 pounds over  Brandon Eusebio of Rancho Bernardo, Calif. 8-5.
Other top performances included Blake Sweetman with a 4th place at 195 and Sean Kennedy with a 6th place finish at 126.
