The Brophy College Prep cross country team finished third at the Division I Southwest Section championships at Crossroads Park in Gilbert, earning a berth to the state championships next weekend.
Senior Zach Loiselle was second overall in 16:25 with classmate Justin Cook crossing ninth (17:01) and sophomore Santiago Sanchez was 13th overall in 17:08. All three were medalists and earned all-section honors.
The Broncos finished third overall with 85 points behind Liberty (41) and Shadow Ridge (55).
Juniors Connor Brown (18:01) and Jack Klye (18:04) were 31st overall and 32nd overall to round out the top five runners. Juniors Renzo Martin (18:09) and Kenoby Hetman 18:10) were close behind on 35th and 36th.
