Football Wins Rivalry Game vs. Saint Mary's

Football won the rivalry game with Saint Mary’s 35-7. Senior David Lopez scored two touchdowns while junior Charlie McGinnis threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another as the Broncos won their home opener. Seniors Layton Duncan and Jude Almarez both had receiving touchdowns in the win.

McGinnis finished the game 15-for-19 for 136 yards and three passing touchdowns. He rushed for a five-yard score to extend the lead to 35-0 in the third quarter.

Lopez accounted for 137 all-purpose yards, including 109 yards rushing on 15 carries to record the first 100[yard rushing game of his career. Four receivers had two or more catches in the game. Trey Markham and David Sweetman tied for the team lead with six tackles.
