SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Brophy College Preparatory baseball team will participate in the Jesuit Games hosted by Santa Clara University July 8-10. The Broncos will compete against West coast Jesuit schools including De La Salle, Portland Jesuit, and Loyola High School of Los Angeles at Stephen Schott Stadium over the three-day event.
The Broncos will play De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) on Friday at 10 a.m. on Friday. The Spartans went 27-7 last season and were ranked No. 21 in the nation after winning the CIF NorCal Division I Championship.
They take on Loyola on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the first of two games on the day. Loyola went 17-13-1 in 2022. Brophy and Portland Jesuit play in the nightcap at Schott Stadium at 6 p.m.
The Broncos will close out the weekend with a second game against De La Salle on Sunday.
Rising sophomore Nolan Lopez ‘21 is on the Santa Clara roster.
