Swimming & Diving Wins 44th State Title in Record-Breaking Fashion

The Brophy Swimming and Diving team scored a state record 582 points to win their 44th state championship in school history. It is the school's second consecutive title, extending its state record total. It was the 13th state title under Pat O’Neill in his career.

The Broncos got off to a fast start in the meet, winning the opening 200 medley relay with Finn Conley, Brayden Harrison, Mark Heffern and Noah Heimer. Heffern returned in the 200 individual medley, capturing his second consecutive title in the event in 1:51.38. He was also second in the 100 butterfly and the 400 freestyle relay with teammates Nolan Guidry, Thomas McCauley and Asher Gomez.

Junior Patrick Dunn was third in the 500 free in 4:30.52 and fourth in the 200 free (1:41.49). Junior Finn Conley was third in the 100 butterfly and eighth in the 200 freestyle. Freshman Nolan Guidry touched fifth in the 50 free (21.46) and second in the 100 free (46.43). Liam Ferguson led the team in the 100 backstroke in fifth (53.17). Thomas McCauley was fifth in the 100 free and seventh in the 200 free.
