Golf senior Adone Panattoni has committed to playing and attending Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. The Bullets play in the NCAA Division III Centennial Conference.
“I was looking for a good school where I could also play golf, and it checked all the boxes,” said Panattoni. “The team and the players on it are great. It is a good school and I think it is going to be a great community.”
Panattoni will play for Head Coach Jason Badecki, who is in his fifth season at the school. The team achieved an 11th-place finish at the NCAA championship in the 2024–25 season, the highest in program history, after winning the conference title.
“I was looking through the rankings and trying to find a good spot,” said Panattoni, who plans to study business or finance. “Division III schools are good academically. It went well with the coach. I am really excited. It is going to be a cool experience.”
Panattoni has been a member of the program for three seasons. He posted rounds of 73 and 75 at the Brophy Invitational to finish 27th in 2025. He was 15th overall at the Peaks Invite in 2024, helping the Broncos to the team title. Overall, he played in 14 rounds and achieved a career-best four-under-par 32 to earn medalist honors in a dual match in 2024.
“Adone has kept his nose down, worked hard, and been a really good team guy,” said Head Coach Jon Shores. “He has an even-keeled way about him, and you can't tell if he is playing poorly or playing well. He has a very steady presence about him. While his game continues to improve, his presence as a quiet leader has meant the most to the team. I expect Adone to continue to bring a strong work ethic, calm demeanor, and that he will have a positive influence on his teammates at Gettysburg.”
Panattoni has enjoyed participating in the prestigious Brophy Rodeo and traveling with the team to Flagstaff and Florida throughout his career. But now he has his sights set on his new journey at Gettysburg.
“They are a top 20 Division III team,” said Panattoni. “They are losing one senior who plays this season, and have an excellent freshman class. I am looking forward to joining the program.”
He is one of three Bronco golfers who have made collegiate commitments this year.
