If you want to deepen your experience of the Summit and further your learning sign up for one of three Sustainability Fieldtrips. This is the first time ever Brophy is offering Summit related fieldtrips open to all students. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Sign up early and make sure to turn your permission slip into Mrs. Hornbeck in the OFJ as soon as possible.
All trips will take place on Friday, February 6th. Students should meet in the Student Activity Center immediately after school for lunch. They will depart in their respective groups from the SAC and will return to Brophy no later than 5pm.

Turn it in to Mrs. Hornbeck in the Office of Faith and Justice ASAP!!!
Lunch will be provided for all field trip participants in the Student Activity Center immediately afterschool prior to departure for the trips. Students must report to the SAC immediately after school to check in and ensure enough time to eat.

Option 1: Visit to Phoenix Urban Farm
Greg Peterson, a local voice in sustainability, urban farming and going green will host a Brophy delegation at his local urban farm. Students will not only learn about the potential of urban, organic farming and green living but will see it firsthand! Visit Your Guide to Green’s website to learn more.
Option 2: Visit to Phoenix Recycling Center
Brophy students will have the unique opportunity to visit the City of Phoenix’s newest recycling center and get the behind-the-scenes look at what all goes into recycling. Students are guaranteed to learn about the recycling process, what can and cannot be recycled and why recycling is so valuable.
Option 3: Visit to ASU School of Sustainability and Ride on the Phoenix Light Rail
Arizona State Universities Global Institute of Sustainability is the first of its’ kind in the world and is garnering international attention. Come see what the hype is all about as you tour the school, learn about the programs it offers and even take a ride on the new Phoenix Light Rail! Students in this group will board the Light Rail near Brophy and ride roundtrip to ASU. Visit ASU’s Global Institute of Sustainability website to learn more.
