College Counselor
Brophy College Preparatory seeks a full-time college counselor to advise students and provide resources for parents and faculty members regarding current trends in college admissions and financial aid. The preferred candidate has experience in the college counseling field or is a college-admissions officer. Attention to detail, organization and an outgoing and energetic personality that fosters strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, and college admission officers is essential. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively and persuasively, both orally and in writing.
Science Teacher
Brophy College Preparatory seeks to fill an opening in its Science Department for the 2008-2009 school year. The preferred candidate will possess a Master’s Degree and be qualified to teach two courses specifically: Environmental Geology and Natural Disasters primarily to sophomore students, and Chemistry primarily to junior students. In addition to these two courses, there may be opportunities for the instructor to teach other courses within the department depending on need. Brophy also offers Biology, Honors and AP Biology, Honors and AP Chemistry, Physics, Honors and AP Physics, and AP Environmental Science.
Substitute Teacher
Brophy looks to hire a full time substitute teacher. This person would be one of two members of the staff who substitute for absent teachers on a day to day basis. In addition to the daily substitute duties, each full time substitute typically teaches one class in their subject area. Desire and ability to contribute significantly to the extra-curricular and spiritual life of the school is essential.
