Brophy and Xavier students auditioned last week for rolls in the Brophy fall play, “The Grapes of Wrath.”

Auditions took place Monday, Aug. 31 through Thursday, Sept. 3, in the Black Box Theatre. Students who hoped for a chance to be in the play had to audition in front of Mrs. Dorothy Dunnion, the director of the play.

“The Grapes of Wrath” is about Tom Joad and his family, whose crops were destroyed in the Dust Bowl. They go west to California to start their life over again.

The show premieres on Wednesday, Nov. 4 and has additional showing on Thursday, Nov. 5 and on Saturday, Nov. 7.
