In athletics, Brophy fields 26 teams in 11 Arizona interscholastic sports and eight teams in three club sports. Brophy also offers a vibrant intramural program. In playing for Brophy, athletes acknowledge their talents are God-given and in the spirit of St. Ignatius of Loyola, they compete “for the Greater Glory of God” (AMDG).
The heart and soul of Brophy is the Office of Faith and Justice which organizes spiritual retreats, community service projects, and immersion trips. Through these activities students realize the true value of a Jesuit education, with opportunities to nurture their faith, grow as leaders, and strengthen their commitment to serving others.
All efforts - academic, athletic, service, and ministry - reflect our Jesuit motto: Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, a Latin phrase meaning "for the greater glory of God."
