Brophy’s academic program supports the school's mission to educate the whole person and to form young men who are intellectually competent, open to growth, religious, loving, and committed to doing justice—the five hallmarks of the Jesuit Graduate at Graduation. The curriculum leads students toward intimate investigation and experience within all courses of study: the English humanities, religious and ethical studies, social studies, science and technology, mathematics, fine arts, health and physical education, and world languages. The focus is not on rote memorization but rather inquiry and exploration that prepares students not only to succeed in the university arena and the world beyond its walls, but also to affirm where the world is working toward the greater glory of God, to question where it is not, and to work as agents of change wherever positive change is needed.
