The Office of Faith and Justice conducts several trips throughout the year, each delivering a unique experience for the student participants. We offer two different types of experiences and have categorized them as "Immersion Trips" and "Advocacy Trips".
Advocacy trips differ from immersion experiences in that students are not necessarily "immersed" in a different culture or lifestyle, but rather exposed to injustice and challenged to take action on behalf of those affected by it. The aim of our advocacy trips is not to build houses or to serve, but rather to learn about injustice in its' various forms, explore their root causes and then take action. Students who participate in one of our advocacy trips will be challenged to not only learn about the injustice but to become an advocate for justice. Details for particular trips are below.
