C.A.L.L. is a high school chastity leadership program which has been granted the imprimatur of Bishop Thomas Olmsted. Next Monday, February 6, Brophy will welcome nine Catholic school educators who will comprise the visiting team for the Western Catholic Education Association’s Accreditation Review. This visit represents both the end of a self-study process that we began over 18 months ago and also the beginning of a six year school improvement process.

Mrs. Baldwin and her family welcomed Addison Elizabeth into the world earlier this summer. Addison arrived safely on July 1st and weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21 inches long. Mrs. Baldwin is on leave until early October but we wish her and her family all the best during this exciting time.

As the 2010-2011 school year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the last few months and the roller coaster of activity that characterizes springtime at Brophy. As a staff, we seem to split time and energy between ending this year well and preparing enthusiastically for the year to come.
Chris Jensen ’02, is working on completing his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco, with a focus on children and technology. As a part of that degree he is currently conducting research on parental perspectives and use of media in their home, and is looking for volunteers to participate.

As you hopefully know, this week we are in the midst of our annual Summit on Human Dignity. If you haven’t yet visited the Summit Website, I encourage you to do so to learn about all that your son is experiencing during these weeks.
As we end our sixth week of the semester, it is a good time to check in with him and his grades to make sure that he is still on track to achieve the goals he set at the beginning of the semester.
