This is the final edition of the eNews for the 2011-2012 school year. Throughout this newsletter you will find important information related to the beginning of the new school year in August. Please take some time during the coming days to read this entire newsletter carefully.

After the final day of summer school on June 29th, all school offices will be closed until Thursday, August 2nd. As is noted elsewhere in this mailing, counselors will be available for drop in appointments August 6-8 from 8:00 a.m. – noon.

Applications are now available for Kairos and Magis retreats. Any seniors, juniors and sophomores interested in participating may pick up an application in the OFJ or on the OFJ website. Any student who has already participated in a Kairos or Magis retreat may apply to be a student leader on a retreat this year.

“Mother’s Day” was special for those who participated in the Kindness Walk at the Phoenix Zoo. Through many individual and team efforts, including Team Brophy, approximately 900 acts of kindness were shared in pairs of shoe donated to those in need. On behalf of the MISS Foundation, thank you!

The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with ESPNHS, today announced Devon Allen of Brophy College Preparatory as its 2011-12 Gatorade Arizona Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year. Allen is the first Gatorade Arizona Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year to be chosen from Brophy College Preparatory.
Freshmen and JV Football team practices will begin on Monday, August 6. The Freshmen and JV will practice from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM the week of August 6th through August 11 at the Brophy Sports Campus. Equipment distribution will begin Sunday, July 29. Times and locations TBA.
