Brophy’s High School Summer School scheduling is now up and running. Course information, school policies, and the link to the Online Scheduling Module can be found in the Academics section under Summer School.
Below are the important dates and other information regarding scheduling for next year. Students received this information via the scheduling assembly on January 21st and were emailed this information following that presentation.
Brophy’s Quiz Bowl team coached by Cheryl Lenox and Patrick Kolb took home a state title last Saturday. The Quiz Bowl team took home another first place showing at an NAQT qualifier against 14 other teams.
Congratulations to Brophy’s Varsity Soccer Team for capturing the 5A-1 State Championship last Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Chandler Hamilton.
The varsity team completed an excellent regular season with an overall record of 18-7 and region mark of 7-3.
Our varsity team defeated arch rival Notre Dame Prep last Friday night and enters the playoffs as the number 2 seed. Playoffs will begin the week of February 28th.
Brophy’s varsity team finished 3rd at this year’s Sectional State Qualifier Tournament. Out of 12 student athletes, we have 10 student athletes who qualified for the State Tournament!
Spring sports have been finalizing their teams over the past two weeks and games will begin this week or next so please look in the daily bulletin to find game days, times and locations.
Save the Date – Saturday, March 5th – More information will be available in our next e-News but the one home regatta will take place in Tempe on Saturday, March 5th.
GE and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, in recognition of the value of future leaders, would like to pass along a scholarship program that will provide advancement opportunities for students as they pursue higher education.

The Varsity Soccer team defeated Hamilton 1-0 on Saturday night to win the 5A-1 State Championship. Congratulations to the players and coaches on a great game and a fantastic season.
As we end our sixth week of the semester, it is a good time to check in with him and his grades to make sure that he is still on track to achieve the goals he set at the beginning of the semester.
The official grade check for activities eligibility for the second semester is February 9th.
Both of our Advance Placement Studio classes, the Advanced Drawing class and our Printmaking class, contributed work to the current show in the BAG Gallery in the lower level of Romley Hall. The Immersion Trip to Guatemala this January to Casa San Andres Orphanage was a success. From January 21st to 25th, three Brophy juniors, four sophomores and three freshmen, guided by Mr. Joe Klein and Deacon Joe Stickney, experienced our nation’s capitol, educated themselves on life issues, marched before the Supreme Court to protest abortion and advocated their concerns with seven congressional offices.
Our top ranked soccer team plays Desert Vista in the quarterfinals this Saturday, February 5th at 12 noon.
Currently our varsity team is ranked #6 in the state as it enters the last week of regular season games.
Since this is a young, up-and-coming, and exciting program, we encourage all students to consider joining Brophy crew.
Our ice hockey team has a great shot at winning our first ever state championship. Our last two regular season games are tonight, Friday, February 4th at Chandler’s Polar Ice vs., Pinnacle H.S
The sectional championships begin today and tomorrow, February 4th and 5th with the state championships the following weekend.
Volleyball, Baseball, and Track begin Monday, February 7th Tennis and lacrosse just concluded their tryouts and have begun practicing to defend their state championships from last year.

As we get into the full swing of scheduling season, it is important to note that starting Tuesday, February 22nd, students will begin receiving meeting requests from their counselors to discuss course selection for the coming school year.

For Juniors, the spring semester is one of transition and a re-dedication to the inevitable…COLLEGE and the whole application process along the way. One of the pieces of the “puzzle” that is this process is “THE EXAM.”
