Below are the important dates, deadlines, and other information regarding scheduling for next year. Students received this information during the scheduling assembly on January 21st and were sent an email with this information following that presentation. Additionally, this information, as well as the course catalog and Honors and Advanced Placement information, can be found on Blackboard under your son’s “Scheduling Information” course.

Honors and Advanced Placement Classes

Any student considering an Honors or Advanced Placement course is required to complete the applications for these courses following each department’s guidelines. Only those students who have completed the applications and submitted them in accordance with the department guidelines will be considered for these courses. Students who are approved may elect to not take these courses, but now is the only time to seek admission. All applications for Honors and Advanced Placement courses have been posted on Blackboard. All application deadlines fall between January 28th and February 4th.  All placement decisions are made by the department and questions about the application process, coursework, and placement should be directed to the appropriate department chair.

Core Academic Courses

Course placements will be loaded into NetClassroom for the student to review, but these will only be changed during the student’s meeting with his counselor.

Electives

NetClassroom will be available to students for selection of electives between February 17th at 3:00 p.m. and February 21st at 10:00 p.m. After this date, students will only be able to change their request through their counselor.

Counselor Meetings

Each student will meet with his counselor to discuss their schedule for the 2011-2012 school year. These meetings will take place between February 22nd and April 14th.
