VI. MATCHES
1.
Playing time will be determined by the evaluation of the coaching staff
based on skill level, work ethic, and attitude. It is the goal of the
volleyball program to put the best possible team on the floor each night. Parents
please do not contact any coach regarding playing time for your son. It is our expectation
that the athlete, not the parent, has a discussion with the coaches regarding what he needs to
do to garner more playing time. Obviously if there are issues outside of
playing time that you need to talk to the coaches about, we are certainly encourage
you to schedule an appointment with us.
2.
Players must be prepared to warm-up when the coach gives the instruction
to do so. For JV, this time will be set
by the Head Coach. For the varsity team, this will come at the beginning of the
2nd game of the JV match. Players must be in the gym by 4:15, whether the game is home or away.
3.
Players must keep the coaching staff up to date regarding injury status.
We must know when you're injured to keep you from aggravating the injury.
4. No player may leave a match until released directly by the head coach. Plan on having a 10-minute meeting following each game. JV's should make every attempt to stay for the first game of the varsity match
