Western Regional/ Grand Canal Liner Park. Park is located just West of 81st Avenue on Bethany Home Road

From the South 101: Take Camelback Road exit and go East approximately 2 miles turn North on 83rd Avenue Go north approximately 1 mile, turn West on Bethany Home Rd.

 

From the North 101:  Take the Glendale exit and go east approximately 2 miles, turn South on 83rd Avenue Go South approximately 1 mile, turn West on Bethany Home Rd.

Location: Between 29th Ave and 35th Ave south of Happy Valley Rd.   The entrance is just past 29th Ave. on the south side before you go up and over the bridge.

Time: 7:00 AM course walk

7:30 AM coaches meeting

8:00 AM AZ Dirt Hog XC Series Citizen race

8:40 AM F Girls

9:20 AM F Boys  (Freshman boys- be at meet 8:00am)

10:00 AM JV/Open Girls

Directions: I-17 to Happy Valley Rd. exit west past 29th ave and turn left into the complex. This turn is before you go up and over the bridge. East of the bridge.

We will have jugs of water for the athletes and a concession stand.

 

 

All uniforms should be washed, bagged (with runner's name written outside) and brought to Coach Schmidbauer's room. A list will be given to Mr. Bopp of those team members who have not returned Brophy property.

The looped course is lined with lights, creating a unique racing opportunity that allows coaches and spectators to view at numerous points.

Date: Friday, October 1,2010

Where: Toka Sticks Golf Course in Mesa, AZ

Plan on 1 hour traveling time from central Phoenix

1 minibus will leave Brophy at 2:45 p.m. on Friday

 

Schedule:

11:00am - course closes for setup

3:30pm - course open for warm-ups

5:00pm - Boys Freshman Large School  (Be at meet 4:00 p.m.)

5:15pm - Girls Freshman Large School

6:00pm - Boys Large School JV/Open  (Be at meet 4:30 p.m.)

6:15pm - Girls Large School JV  

8:45pm* - Girls HS Sweepstakes

From Phoenix take Loop 202 East (SanTan) to McQueen exit. Head South till park entrance.

From the South: Take I-10 to exit 175 state route 587. Turn on right on Germann Road. Turn south on McQueen

From the North-East. Take McQueen/Mesa Drive South through town. Park is on the west side.

McQueen Road is one mile East of Arizona Avenue.

• From 101 loop, exit at Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd.
• 101 East side loop to Raintree exit. Proceed east to Thompson Peak Parkway      (approx 1 mile east of 101)
• Turn Left and proceed North to McDowell Mountain Road (approx 2.5 miles               north of Raintree)
• Turn right and proceed East to 102nd way/place (.25 miles) There is a stop                light at this street, it is the first light East of Thompson peak Parkway
• Turn right (SOUTH) and follow street back to soccer fields and parking lots.               Fields are located just past the library and swimming pool

Meet on Wednesday 10-07-09

Tumbleweed Park (same as Ojo Rojo).  Park is located at the corner of McQueen and Germann Road. (Park is just south of the Loop 202 East (San Tan) off the McQueen exit)

Starting at 4:00 p.m.

Parents may pickup runners at the park. Please check out with Coach Schmidbauer.

Bus will arrive back at Brophy 6:00-6:30 p.m.
