Mission Statement
The mission of the Brophy College Preparatory Health and Physical Education Department is to promote the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health of our students. To accomplish this, our staff will:
- Instruct students to develop biomechanically correct and efficient movement patterns.
- Endorse engaging in daily physical activity and consuming nutritionally sound food for life.
- Convey an appreciation to God for the amazing gift of life
- Uphold sportsmanship and support the dignity of every human being.
- Encourage students to make decisions for the greater glory of God.
- Help students to see God in all things, including themselves.
- Model healthy behavior.
Physical Education Department – Faculty
CHRIS WHITE
Department Chair
Mr. White earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College and a Master of Science degree from the University of Arizona. Mr. White has been the athletic trainer at Brophy since 1986. He teaches freshmen Behavioral Health, Anatomy and Physiology, and Sports Medicine.

ANTHONY FULLER
Mr. Fuller earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Pepperdine University. He teaches Physical Education and is the Varsity Basketball coach.

GARY GALANTE
Mr. Galante earned a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona Univ. He is currently certified through three professional organizations that relate to human movement concepts. They include a certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM), Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), and a Level II coach as a Olympic Weightlifting Coach (USWF). Mr. Galante moved to Arizona in 1992, where he has taught since 1992; Schools include West Valley High School (4 yrs), Arizona Boys Ranch (2 yrs), and Gilbert High School (6 yrs). In addition to his Strength & Conditioning duties, Mr. Galante is the defensive coordinator for the Varsity Football Team.
Mr. Galante has three sons and their names are Garrison, Wyatt, and Colter.

SCOTT HEIDEMAN
Coach Heideman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University. His emphasis is in Health and Physical Education. He has been a member of the Brophy faculty since 2007, and also coaches freshman football and lacrosse.

ANDREW MOLANDER
Mr Molander earned a degree in Social Sciences from Colorado State University. Mr Molander teaches Health and Government. He has been a member of the faculty at Brophy since 2001 and the Head Football Coach since 2005.
