Academics

Brophy’s academic program seeks to support its mission both to educate the whole person and to form young men who are intellectually competent, open to growth, religious, loving, and committed to doing justice—the five hallmarks of the Brophy Graduate at Graduation. The curriculum sends students toward intimate investigation and experience within all courses of study: the English humanities, religious and ethical studies, social studies, scientific studies, mathematics, fine arts, health and physical education, and world languages. Focus is not on rote memorization but rather inquiry and exploration that prepares students not only to succeed in the university arena and the world beyond its walls, but also to affirm where the world is working toward the greater glory of God, to question where it’s not, and to work as agents of change to address these needs in the world.
