History of Brophy

Science

There are three possible curriculum programs that a student can enter in order to meet graduation requirements in science. The curriculum programs are the:

• traditional program
• enrichment program
• honors enrichment program

The Brophy requirements in science of each of these programs meet or exceed the state mandated, laboratory science requirements. The traditional program includes six semester hours in the core courses of Biology, Integrated Lab Science, Chemistry, and Physics. The enrichment programs include from nine to over ten semesters in a combination of both the core and elective courses. All the programs are designed to create a sense of wonder and mystery in learning about God’s creations, and in so doing, cause Ignatian conversion.
